Comfort zone..
For me, it’s still really hard. Hard to cope with my feelings, hard to keep up when everything feels upside down. Everything is tiring and really getting on my nerves. Every pinch of this life feels like torture now.
But I know—it’s just a phase. Maybe this phase will last 5 years… 7 years… okay, maybe even 10 years. But life can be 100 years long too, and after those 10 years, there will still be another 10 years… maybe 20 more. And obviously, they’ll come.
The thing is—I can’t get out of my comfort zone. The habits I had, the same routine, the same people I’ve always had and still have—but now, I can’t see them as much. The changes in my environment are making me sick, draining all my energy.
I understand that hustling in this hectic life is just a part of our existence. But here I am—a teenage girl just getting on her feet—facing what feels like my biggest challenges. To others around me, these might seem like small inconveniences. But to me, they’re so much more.
Maybe other girls my age—and even boys—are smarter, more clever, more practical. But I am just a girl with a kind heart, a soft heart, and a messy brain. Still, there’s a fire in me—sometimes it’s anger, sometimes ambition, and sometimes, something a little mischievous. Yet when empathy hits me… I never hold back.
Yes, I’m scared. Really scared of dealing with people. I’m antisocial, and my heart starts racing when a stranger even says “excuse me.” A small sound, a sudden thud—it can give me anxiety. I can’t always understand something in one go. I think I’m dumb, but still, I’m a topper of my class. I think I’m boring, but I imagine endless worlds in my head. I’m emotionally unstable, but I comfort others. I’m weak, yet I fight for my people. I’m strong, but I cry when my loved ones change even a little in how they treat me.
I don’t need attention… but I also want it. I want to be seen, yet I do nothing to make myself seen. I’m just a girl in this vast world, dealing with everything I carry inside me and everything around me.
I feel too deeply. I’ve made so many mistakes, yet I choose not to scream. Comfort zone or not, I know I just have to deal.
So, what is a comfort zone for you and me? It’s exactly what it sounds like—a space that feels safe. But to get out of it, you have to fight. Fight with the world, and fight with yourself. And when you do, you’ll find another comfort zone. And life will go on—just like mine is going on right now.
And that “she” I’ve been talking about?
That’s me.
So, to get out of your comfort zone… you just have to k eep going. Like me.
